Job summary The County/Royal Stoke Emergency Departments are going through an exciting period of positive development and change at the moment. We welcome motivated, enthusiastic and innovative band 5 nurses to join our ED team including Newly Qualified Staff. We have a workforce model focused on providing safe and effective patient care, leadership and development of the nursing team. You will be offered a period of supernumerary duty as well as training from a dedicated team and support and guidance through acclimatization and preceptorship. Full and part time hours are available, you will be required to work an internal rotation pattern covering day and night shifts over 7 days including weekends and public holidays The University Hospital would be happy to support potential candidates to work a paid clinical shift within the Emergency Department on a supernumerary basis. Main duties of the job In this post you will be responsible for providing on going care of patients and providing an effective care pathway within the Emergency department. Candidates ether need to be on the NMC register as a band 5 adult or mental health nurse or be due to qualify within the next eight months. You must be flexible to the demands of the service and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a large, busy and evolving department.
