We are looking for an Applications Developer to join our Applications Development team. The role will leverage new technology solutions by looking for ways to develop applications that engage, satisfy, and make it easier and more cost effective to save lives at sea. Some of the benefits Salary £41,242 to £48,520 (dependent on experience) (dependent on experience) 26 days’ annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays (increases with service) Outstanding pension scheme (contributions of up to 16% of basic salary) Life assurance Health and dental cashplan option Your role As a full-stack Application Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive web applications. You will be part of a small centre of excellence in full-stack web technologies and user interface development, designing mock-ups and wireframes and translating them into fully functional digital applications used by our volunteers and staff. You will be helping the RNLI to deliver applications that will enhance engagement and satisfaction and ultimately, support those who are part of our mission to save lives. You Will Also Follow modern DevOps practices using Git and Azure DevOps to manage source control, CI/CD pipelines, and structured development workflows. You will ensure code is versioned and peer reviewed, deployments are automated and traceable across environments, and work is effectively tracked and documented using tools such as Azure Boards, Repos, and Pipelines. Work confidently across a range of modern technologies and frameworks including Vue, Angular, C++, TypeScript, MSSQL, and MySQL, applying best practices to build robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications. About You To be considered as our new Applications Developer you will need: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience Experience in applications development using development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frontend, and backend frameworks.
