Movement Operator - Submarines

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Movement Operator to join our Submarines business in Derby. You will support safe and efficient operation of the Lower Tier Facility and its associated processes, support production activities within the Contact Area to achieve contractual requirements, satisfy monthly targets and support the core production programme.

You will ensure compliance with all aspects of Criticality Control, including an understanding of all process limits as specified on local Criticality Control Certificates in accordance with LC23.

What you will be doing:
* Ensure compliance with the local arrangements for the introduction and storage of radioactive material on the site.
* Ensure that radioactive material under your control is stored in designated storage areas when not in use and within the requirements of the associated safety case/report.
* Responsible for the accounting of radioactive matter stored and maintaining associated records.
* Maintain the nuclear matter inventory system.
* Ensure that storage facilities are subject to routine inspection and necessary maintenance.
* Assist in technology and standards planning to aid understanding of technology development and transition into the programme.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently have this in place.
