Job Description: Fresh Direct are recruiting a Site Technical Manager for Fresh Kitchen. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you'll lead and support elements relating to Product Quality, Safety, Legality, and Integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with necessary accreditation, legislation, customer codes, and Sysco standards.
* Prepare and lead site audits, including customer, BRC, and government audits.
* Manage production technical requirements to meet customer, legislative, and industry specifications.
* Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective action strategies.
* Ensure regular product shelf life testing and conduct product trials.
* Manage suppliers, raw material specifications, and databases.
* Control and manage the Quality Management Systems, including HACCP and Allergen management.
* Manage the site Quality team and establish policies for due diligence, product safety, and integrity.
* Manage GMP and hygiene quality, including pest control and continuous technical improvement.
About You:
* Previous high-risk product experience is essential, ideally in sauces, dressings, cooked rice, pastas, ice creams, sorbets, gelato, mousses, and pickles.
* You must hold a full clean Driver's Licence, a Food Science/Technology degree, and be minimum HACCP level 3 certified and preferably Lead Auditor qualified.
* Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and project management skills are required.
