Job Summary:
As a Regional Sales Manager for an area of the UK, you will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for our capital equipment product lines within your territory. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage key accounts, and build strong relationships with new and existing customers across various sectors. The role requires a combination of business development, account management, and technical sales expertise to ensure our products meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Strategy & Execution:
* Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and market share goals for the UK region.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and market research.
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to capitalise on sales opportunities.
* Account Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including industrial buyers, plant managers, and senior executives.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
* Develop long-term partnerships with clients to support customer retention and account growth.
* Business Development:
* Lead efforts to generate new leads, qualify prospects, and close deals for capital equipment sales.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, marketing, product management) to tailor solutions to customer needs.
* Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of our capital equipment solutions.
* Negotiation & Contract Management:
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers, ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
* Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for senior management.
* Customer Satisfaction & Support:
* Work closely with service teams to ensure customers receive excellent post-sales support, including installation, training, and maintenance.
* Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
* Sales Reporting & KPIs:
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales revenue, margin targets, and customer satisfaction metrics.
* Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, opportunities, and challenges.
Requirements
* Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital equipment sales or a related field, preferably within Quarry/Aggregate, Recycling, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a regional or national sales role.
* Experience managing high-value, long sales-cycle transactions.
* Skills & Competencies:
* Strong technical sales and business development skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong client relationships at all levels.
* Negotiation and contract management expertise, with a focus on closing high-value deals.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a remote or field-based setting.
* Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred. A background in technical sales or engineering is highly advantageous.
* Other:
* Willingness to travel extensively across your region within the UK as needed. Valid UK driving license.
