About the Role
Our Maintenance team at our Warnham site provide hands on engineering support which keeps the plant running by ensuring our equipment runs smoothly.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), the team have a dynamic role where problem-solving skills and technical expertise are used daily to help us run efficiently and reliably.
As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will be line managing a shift of engineers, driving a continuous improvement approach, and ensuring there is a proactive maintenance culture at the site.
There will be times where you are hands-on supporting with planned maintenance activities and breakdowns, but you will be primarily focusing on your line management and health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
We provide you with full training on our equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to work at our factory safely and effectively.
You will also:
* Supervise and co-ordinate maintenance activities across the site
* Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality processes
* Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
* Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
* Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel as relevant
* Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods
* Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained
* Ensure all mandatory training is carried out within the required period.
* Provide emergency maintenance cover when required
* Carry out investigations and create reports for management.
Hours of Work: 6am to 6pm on a 4 on/4off shift pattern.
About You
You will be an experienced engineering supervisor/leader with exposure to a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
You will be a natural leader who can support, coach, and motivate others, as well as being able to appropriately address areas for improvement.
You will have a passion for continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and health & safety standards.
You will also have:
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* A minimum level 3 qualification in preferably a multiskilled Engineering discipline.
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good working knowledge of EHS
* Strong organisational & planning abilities
* Analytical, fault finding and problem-solving skills
* Maintenance and diagnostics experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, drive chain and electrical control systems.
* Knowledge of cutting, grinding and welding regulations
