You will be highly motivated, team focus as well as matching the below criteria: Person Specification Graduate in relevant field or Process Engineer with at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar industry. Sound influencing and persuasion skills. The ability to drive change and continual improvement. The ability to work in and promote team working within the organisation. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and principles. IT literate, good understating of Excel. Experience with CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks) an advantage. Purpose of the Role Exercise technical control of all aspects of manufacturing processes for silicon carbide heating element production. Initiate and deliver continuous improvements to existing processes and production methods, working within the areas of safety, raw material selection, processing conditions, cost reduction, productivity improvement and the required specifications of the product. Provide technical support for front line production management team. Responsible for accepting and implementing new products and processes into the manufacturing environment. Build good working relationships with suppliers of raw materials and consumables. Primary Areas of Responsibility Process Control and Engineering Ability to work with high degree of autonomy to ensure that all processes are compliant with yield expectations. To fulfill a technical/specialist role in the production environment for process issues where first line management require support and / or cannot resolve. Continuous Improvement Drive initiatives to make process improvements and cost reduction using lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.
