Your responsibilities
• Setting team to work in line with PES Safety and Quality procedures. This will include ensuring Method Statements, Risks Assessments; ‘Point of Work’ Risk Assessments and Authorization to work are in place for all jobs.
• Ensuring team are productively managed to meet targets.
• Provide direct supervision of maintenance within workshop. This will include carrying out pro active safety activities such as Mindset Checks.
• Ensure that comprehensive records are kept of all works activities, in line with PES procedures.
• Manage team of 1 or 2 team members in line with Uniper’s people management standards.
• Provide specialist assistance and support to other members of the PES team.
• Other responsibilities as defined by the PES Operations Manager.
Your profile
• Sufficient educational or vocational qualifications to carry out the role safely and effectively. Electrical bias.
• Ability to motivate a team as individuals and as a group, through displaying drive, energy & commitment
• Technical experience relevant to the Business
• Ability to understand the technical skills in the team they lead
• Effective planning & management of resources including resources from shift teams, external contractors and Site Team
• Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets
• Communication & interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships, internally & externally
• Management of team member performance
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a Team
• Openly accepts, promotes & manages changes as the business continues to develop and evolve
• Leads by example to develop the culture of continuous improvement
• Commercially aware & understands the environment in which they operate
• Served a recognised apprenticeship
• IOSH Managing Safety qualification would be advantageous.
