An amazing school in Newbury is looking for a recent graduate to collaborate with their specialist teachers to provide students with significant social, emotional, and mental health needs support throughout their educational career. As a Young Mental Health Worker, you will provide a safe space for students to open up about the challenges they are facing and provide them with solution suggestions on how to handle them in a healthy manner. Additionally, you will gain experience in identifying potential triggers for students and work on how to approach these triggers.
The school is looking for a committed, confident, and well-educated candidate to take on the role of Young Mental Health Worker and bring enthusiasm and empathy into the classroom. Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent behaviour management skills, education surrounding Special Educational Needs, and experience in either a professional or home environment. The Young Mental Health Worker will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified therapists, behaviour management consultants, and specialised psychologists, which could open up doors and aid their entrance into the industry.

Experience working with children or in the SEN community would be beneficial but not mandatory.
