SEN Teacher - Academics LTD About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join this supportive and dynamic team at a specialist SEN school in Hassocks. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs. Adapt teaching strategies to support individual learning styles and abilities. Create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic support. Develop and implement EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) targets and monitor student progress. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (applications from ECTs welcome). Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly in a specialist setting - Ideally A strong understanding of differentiation, behaviour management strategies, and alternative communication methods.
