Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Team.
The Senior Solicitor would play a key role in one of the Clinical Negligence teams by working on allocated cases, corresponding with customers and experts to ensure their cases are conducted in a proactive and commercially focused manner.
You would be joining a quality, experienced and growing team of Clinical Negligence lawyers several of whom hold accreditations such as from APIL, AvMA and Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel.

Main Responsibilities:
Accountable for:
1. Providing support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
2. Proactive and commercial case management and progression
3. Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
4. Effective and thorough time recording
Responsible for:
5. Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and members of the team
6. Identifying cases which are ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
7. Working with the team to ensure that relevant information is being collected and collated to enable the progression of the case
8. Management of a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
9. Co-ordinating the progression of cases with all internal and external parties
10. Drafting of legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
11. Negotiating settlement and the issuing and service of proceedings should it be required
12. Overseeing the documentation and correspondence produced by the team
13. Advising the team on any technical issues arising from
Essential Skills and Experience:
14. Recent experience of handling a case load
15. 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
16. Excellent organisational and time management skills
17. Excellent communication and drafting skills
18. Excellent IT skills especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages, proclaim and excel
19. Excellent attention to detail
20. Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
21. Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
22. Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
23. Excellent Client Care Skills
