You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively as part of the team and deal with complex sensitive information in a professional manner
1. To meet and greet all patients and direct them to the appropriate areas.
2. Provide good quality personalised care in accordance with agreed local and national protocols.
3. Performs essential nursing care to a high-quality standard which meets the individual needs of patients.
4. Carryout the admission/ bloods/EGC and observations of patients requiring Local anaesthetics with the supervision of the registered nurse.
5. Be responsible for the ordering and stock levels of ward stock.
6. Maintains patient privacy, dignity with respect at all times.
7. Transfer of patients to other ward areas and departments. in adherence with the Trusts transfer policy
8. To ensure the environment is clean and tidy and of a high standard.

15. Ensure compliance with Trust Uniform Policy
16. Take samples from patients for testing or dispatching after appropriate
training and competency assessments eg: Urine, sputum, faeces, MRSA swabs
17. Ensure that any samples taken are dispatched as per Trust procedures
18. Ensure that samples obtained are stored correctly while awaiting collection and take/send samples to pathology as directed.
19. Complete all documentation correctly.
20. Assist patients to meet nutritional and hydration needs in line with their individual care plan.
21. Ensure and prepare patients receive meals in a timely manner.
22. Assists patients with eating and drinking, provides adaptive aids if required.
23. Prepares and administers beverages for patients in timely manner
24. Weighs patients accurately as directed and records results
25. Food/fluid charts are fully completed in a timely manner to Trust standards
26. Assist to maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
27. Ensure nurse call systems are answered in timely way
28. Is able to demonstrate the correct use of cot slides, blue tray and wet floor signs.
