Based in the Jewellery Quarter, this thriving company is searching for a detail-orientated Finance Administrator to support the finance function and undertake all finance-related administration duties. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Salary: £23,000 Free onsite parking Bonus scheme Contributory pension scheme Finance Administrator Responsibilities: Handling all bookkeeping duties, recording and tracking the financial transactions of the business Using Sage to process sales and purchase ledger transactions Performing bank reconciliations and handling all aspects of banking Undertaking credit control duties Ensuring suppliers are paid in line with agreed terms Effectively handling accounts queries by telephone and email Supporting the Management Accountant and External Auditors with the preparation of annual accounts, VAT returns, and payroll Assisting the Financial Controller with all accounting and finance duties, as required Helping the wider business with ad-hoc administration tasks Finance Administrator Skills and Experience: Experience gained in a similar role is a must, this could either be as a Finance Administrator/Finance Assistant or as an Administrator who has undertaken some finance-related duties including bookkeeping A qualification within finance would be advantageous but not essential, this could be a degree in Accounting and Finance or an AAT qualification Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Sage would be a distinct advantage Excellent administration skills; can work with accuracy and input and record data with precision Skilled with numbers and demonstrates a good understanding of generating reports Good communicator, confident liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
