Job Title: Telecoms Construction Manager Location: Suffolk (5 days a week onsite) Duration: 12 months (with potential extension) Hourly Rate: £575 per day Start Date: ASAP Hours: 40 hours per week Join a leading team on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects—Sizewell C. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of critical telecoms infrastructure for a nuclear new build project, which will provide reliable power to millions of homes. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery & Operations: Manage the Telecoms scope on site, including private radio, mobile networks, and fibre infrastructure, ensuring high standards are met. Leadership: Lead telecoms contractors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery, meeting deadlines and budget requirements. Stakeholder Management: Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including telecoms providers such as Vodafone and BT, and collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless project integration. Quality & Compliance: Conduct technical quality checks, lead change management processes, and ensure the installation meets Sizewell C’s high standards and operational needs. Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Resolve technical issues on site, manage risks, and proactively mitigate any potential disruptions to project timelines and infrastructure performance. What We Are Looking For: Experience: At least 10 years of experience managing telecoms projects, including fibre, private radio, and public mobile networks, preferably within large-scale construction or infrastructure environments. Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams, ensuring high standards of quality, and maintaining excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of telecoms infrastructure, including the ability to conduct quality checks and resolve technical issues. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is essential. Postgraduate qualifications and project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
