A trade certification is typically necessary at this job level. Key Responsibilities: - First Article Inspections: Conducting detailed mechanical inspections of aerospace components and sub-assemblies to AS9102 standards. - Inspection Reporting: Completing and recording First Article Inspection Reports on the MRP system. - File Management: Developing and maintaining electronic filing systems. - Equipment Calibration: Managing and controlling the calibration of inspection equipment. - Continuous Improvement: Supporting business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities and providing quality performance insights. - Supplier Liaison: Resolving issues with suppliers to enhance customer confidence and satisfaction. - New Product Introduction: Supporting quality planning and implementation during the introduction of new products, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers. - Quality Data Analysis: Capturing and analyzing quality data, taking action against any deviations from standards. Required Experience: - Industry Background: Strong experience in quality and/or aerospace within medium to high-volume manufacturing. - Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM), handheld measuring tools (Verniers, Height Gauge, Micrometers) and interpreting engineering drawings, including geometrical tolerances. - Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and 5S methodologies. - Engineering Literacy: Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering information. - Communication Skills: Effective communicator at all levels, both verbal and written. - Teamwork & Initiative: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. - IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
