Mechanical + Electrical Maintenance Engineer
4 day shifts

Our client is urgently seeking a multi-skilled mechanical and electrical engineer to join their team in the South Newcastle area, working on a 4-day shift pattern. Ideally you will have experience within a facilities management environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform planned maintenance with an emphasis on proactive issue detection.
2. Quickly address breakdowns and conduct efficient corrective maintenance.
3. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in various equipment.
4. Record work and parts data on the WMS system.
5. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
6. Maintain professionalism in all customer interactions.
7. Consistently meet and exceed contract SLAs.
8. Provide support to other technicians and shifts as required.
9. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements:
1. Completed time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
2. Hold City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or higher in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
3. Previous experience in FMCG manufacturing or automated warehousing (preferred).
4. Ability to obtain and maintain a full airside pass.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficiency with computer systems, including CMMS.
7. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
8. Strong planning and prioritization skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and open to overtime.
9. Professional appearance and respectful demeanor.
10. Desirable skills: 18th edition, ONC/HNC, multiskilled, PLC and diagnostics experience, and experience in training/coaching.
