At our company, we are committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion. We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team on permanent basis and contribute to the continual improvement of our order fulfilment process.
Salary: £38,000 - £39,000 per annum depending on experience
Hours of work: 0730 -1630 Monday - Thursday 0730 - 1230 on Friday
Responsibilities
* Maintain professional relationships with internal suppliers and customers.
* Execute the MRP/ERP system recommendations for Production plans and Procurement.
* Create in a timely fashion the demand profile for internal and externally sourced items to support the business' On time in Full (OTIF) Delivery objectives
* Make appropriate decisions while following the company's organizational structure.
* Ensure that all scheduled tasks relating to the planning function within the MRP/ERP/PFM systems are completed in a timely fashion.
* Support the Cell Leaders with short and medium-term Capacity planning.
* Maintain the Planning information pertinent to each work center/shift pattern, exceptions etc.
* Expedite the delivery from internal sources of all materials required for the manufacture of products.
* Support the improvement of customer OTIF levels by raising internal job Order completion levels (schedule adherence).
* Support the internal Engineering Change (ECN) Process in relation to both purchase and procured parts.
* Maintain customer information/commitments to enable the consistent flow of information and delivery on commitments.
* Support Business adherence to IATF 16949 quality management system requirements
* Support Business adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental policies (OHSAS18001 and ISO14001).
Experience:
* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production planning processes
* Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with quality management system requirements and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
* Experience of Lean manufacturing principles.
* Previous experience within a machining or manufacturing environment.
