Environmental Monitoring Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Monitoring Assistant for an immediate start ongoing temporary assignment based in Mid Wales.
Within the Environmental Assessment and Advice Team, you will assist in providing environmental monitoring, assessment advice, and reporting, specifically for fisheries monitoring and sampling disciplines.
The role involves:
1. Carrying out environmental monitoring, including electric fishing and water quality sampling.
2. Collating, validating, and inputting monitoring data and other evidence into proprietary software and data storage applications.
3. Assisting with monitoring survey work and data collection to support monitoring programmes.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Practical experience in freshwater monitoring, especially electric fishing and water quality sampling.
2. Good knowledge of IT systems such as ArcMap, Excel, Word, and SharePoint is desirable.
3. A full clean driving license and the ability to swim are essential.
This is a full-time, field-based role requiring 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Rate of pay: £14.32 per hour.
