We are currently looking for people with excellent assessment and communication skills who perform well under pressure. The role of the Mental Health professional in ED is a fast-paced and dynamic role. The team provide 24/7 input into the Emergency Department delivering high calibre assessments, formulations, and care plans for individuals. We provide an invaluable expert opinion into the care of individuals in the emergency department.
We are a PLAN accredited service and the core24 team are part of the well-established wider Liaison Psychiatry service at Peterborough City Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the multi-disciplinary clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the service in collaboration with other team members.
2. Provide and undertake timely biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans in accordance with CPFT’s Clinical Risk Assessment and Management policy for adults presenting to the Acute Trust with mental health problems.
Position Details:
This role is a permanent, full-time vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist / Mental Health Professional wanting to join the established liaison psychiatry emergency department team. The liaison psychiatry service is highly regarded nationally and is accredited through the Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network (PLAN).
The service aims to offer exceptional standards of care to all patients attending Peterborough City Hospital experiencing a comorbid mental health issue. As such, an opportunity has arisen to recruit a dynamic CNS / MHP on a permanent contract who will work 12.5 hour shifts across a 24/7 rota.
