The Role As a Production Operator in our world-class food manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production. Your responsibilities include maintaining strict safety standards for yourself and your colleagues, upholding the quality of our brands, and driving continuous improvement. Ensure Product Quality & Compliance – Verify that all batch information, raw materials, and packaging align with the bill of materials (BOM). Conduct quality checks to ensure finished goods meet our standards and customer expectations. Maintain Production Efficiency – Monitor and sustain production output and changeover times in line with targets, ensuring production remains cost-effective and profitable. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) – Operate in full compliance with established SOPs to ensure safety, consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in all production processes. Accountability – What You Are Responsible For Delivering Correct Material Usage – Follow all Bills of Materials (BOMs) precisely to ensure the correct raw materials and packaging are used, protecting product quality and brand reputation. Stock Accuracy – Complete Back-to-Stock (BTS) forms efficiently and in line with the Back-to-Stock SOP to maintain accurate stock levels. Quality Control – Identify and reject defective products based on photo standards, ensuring only high-quality goods reach our customers. Compliance & Process Adherence – Follow all procedures and perform required checks to prevent HOLD stock and NCRs. Walk away standards – Ensure you follow the Walk away standards for the line you are working on. This is to ensure safe, quality goods can be produced by the next team. Proactive Safety Management – Report unsafe conditions and near misses through Safety Observations, contributing to a safer workplace. Effective Problem Escalation – Raise any operational, quality, or safety concerns promptly and in line with the Escalation Procedure. Data Accuracy & System Use – Input data into IT systems accurately once trained, ensuring real-time visibility of production processes. Capability - the skills and behaviours required to do this job well Attention to Detail & Accuracy – Ensure batch information, raw materials, and packaging align with the bill of materials (BOM), maintaining product integrity and compliance. Proactive Equipment Issue Resolution – The engineering team is actively managing equipment problems because you escalate issues promptly and in line with the escalation procedure. Specific metrics will be set when in role and will be reviewed and built upon regularly.
