Job Duties:
* Leading and supervising a team of staff working in children's residential services
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the care setting
* Implementing and monitoring care plans for each child
* Providing guidance and support to staff members
* Managing budgets and resources effectively
* Establishing and maintaining effective communication with parents, social workers, and other professionals
* Participating in team meetings and training sessions
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
Required Qualifications:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
* Previous experience working in a similar role for at least 2 years in the last 5 years
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Experience in an EBD setting
Education:
* Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
* At least 2 years of experience in a children's residential services setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of child development and attachment theory
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
* Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
* First Aid and Safeguarding training
Working Conditions:
* Work primarily takes place in a residential care setting
* May involve evening, weekend, and on-call work

Pay: £13.50-£13.88 per hour
