Glendoick Garden Café is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic chef to join our friendly team working in our busy café within Glendoick Garden Centre, Glendoick, Perth, PH2 7NS.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist & Support the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
- Assisting with the ordering of & close management of stock
- Ensuring all Health & Hygiene procedures are implemented & continually adhered to.
- Assist in the food preparation pre and during service
- Ability to learn & understand new cooking techniques.
- Ensures food leaves the pass timely
- Have the ability to work & train on every section of the cook line.
Hours 30-38 hours per week - Hours are worked on a 5 days from 7 rota including weekends.
The ideal candidate will be a team player able to create a positive environment in the kitchen, this is a permanent post with no split shifts! It is purely a daytime role with no evenings required.
The position is available for an immediate start. There is flexibility on start and finish times.
Public transport to Glendoick is limited, ideally applicants should have access to private transport to ensure they can arrive for work on time for each shift.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year's experience in a kitchen
Ideally have hold a Level 1 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate but not essential
