Policy Expert is seeking a Commercial Trading Analyst to support our Retail team in optimising the performance of our insurance products across all channels and products. This role will allow you to develop a deep understanding of the insurance industry and become an integral part of shaping our business strategy. Working closely with key stakeholders across Retail, Marketing, Product, Pricing and Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing our current reporting suite. Your day to day: Support trading activities by analysing the performance of our insurance products across home, motor, and pet insurance. Deliver actionable insights by creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualisations. Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to improve propositions, journeys and pricing strategies. Work closely with senior stakeholders to present data-driven recommendations that shape strategic decisions. Monitor market trends and competitor activity, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and aligned with customer needs. Lead data relationships with our key distribution partners. Conducting periodic marketing campaign analysis and supporting on correct set-up of marketing analytics and attribution Who are you: Strong analytical skills with experience dealing directly with the data - using analysis and visualisation tools Knowledge or experience of using SQL data warehouses would be an advantage Additional understanding of GA4, ContentSquare and other MarTech would also be an advantage Ability to piece together multiple data sets, form pictures and patterns, and call out some of those things as actions or outcomes Thinking around the data and ask those "what if" type questions of it. ‘What if we knew X, Y and Z’ Solid understanding of financial markets and key trends in the insurance industry. Skilled at managing multiple senior stakeholders, with the ability to navigate complex processes and drive consensus. A data-driven mindset, with an understanding of how to embed data insights into business units for widespread adoption. Interest in marketing's impact on commercial effectiveness and some knowledge of marketing channels and tactics A proactive and curious attitude, eager to challenge the status quo and drive innovation Benefits: This role will be based in our London office in a 50/50 Hybrid mode.
