The Role
Demonstrates a good understanding and ability of following set instructions for safety and quality. Has an awareness of the importance of meeting set targets and the impact that poor quality has on customer trust and Nuaire’s reputation. Be willing to be flexible in the workforce learning a variety of products depending on customer demand. Challenges personal performance and develops own skills and supports the team to deliver consistent results.
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 14:20 - 23:50

Responsibilities
General duties
* General assembly/production duties using rivet guns, micrometres, air guns, drills - pneumatic equipment.
* Building components from raw material through to finished product within a manufacturing cell environment.
* Completing relevant paperwork when necessary to meet quality standards.
* Hand and eye coordination and able to read and understand drawings/instructions.
* Wrapping and banding products.
* Operating production machinery as required through training, such as lifting equipment.
* Performing quality assurance and testing checks.
* Assembling, packing and labelling the finished goods in preparation for shipment.
* Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping, cleaning the machinery and other parts of the production space.
* Participate and contribute to daily briefings.
* Actively participate in safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
Health & safety/wellbeing responsibilities
* Take all reasonable measures for their own health and safety and for the safety of others around them that may be affected by their acts or omissions.
* Co-operate with the employer to enable the employer to comply with their legal obligations.
* Co-operate with the employer to attend any relevant training needed, to ensure that all staff can work safely.
* No employee shall intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety or welfare in pursuance of any of the relevant statutory provisions.
* Report all accidents, near misses and unsafe practices / dangerous occurrences to their Team Leader / Managers.
* Report any faults / defects with regards to machinery, plant, work equipment etc to their Team leader / Managers.
* Work in accordance with any information, training and instructions provided such as risk assessment/ safe systems of work.
* Carry out and log any agreed operator maintenance as per the operator / maintenance manual.
* Follow any safety instructions / general works instructions given by any Team Leader / Manager.
* To wear, store, and maintain all personal protective equipment provided to them as per instruction and training. Any defects must be reported to their Team Leader.
* Ensure that all waste is disposed of in the correct manner, segregated / recycled as per company procedure.
The Person
Desirable requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
* Conversant with using hand tools such as, spanners, pliers, knives and screwdrivers.
* Conversant with using pneumatic power tools.
* Basic understanding of IT systems.
* Basic understanding of PPE and manual handling techniques. Full training will be given regardless of knowledge and experience.
