Finance Manager – North Leicestershire – £40,000 – £45,000 Flexible and Hybrid Working
I am working with a growing, family-run business in North Leicestershire to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a standalone role, offering full ownership of the finance function within a supportive and flexible working environment.
The business is well-established, with a turnover approaching £3 million, and continues to grow steadily. They offer a rare combination of long-term stability, autonomy, and genuine work-life balance — ideal for someone seeking a hands-on role within a friendly, down-to-earth team.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the senior managers, you’ll be responsible for managing all day-to-day financial operations, including:
* Purchase & sales invoicing
* VAT & CIS returns
* Payroll processing
* Credit control & reconciliations
* Management reporting
* Working with Sage Cloud Accounting software
* Data analysis & reporting
This is a role for someone who enjoys taking full ownership — planning their own workload and working closely with the directors to support the business.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with:
* At least two years’ experience in a standalone / number one SME finance role
* Strong Excel skills — able to perform VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and use Pivot Tables
* Preferably ACCA, CIMA or AAT Level 4 qualified
* Strong management accounting and transactional finance skills
* End-to-end weekly and monthly payroll experience
* Experience using Sage (or similar) accounting software

* £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
* Flexible working — primarily office-based (North Leicestershire) with the option to work from home one day a week
* Core hours 8am – 4pm (with flexibility around this)
