Requirements
To be successful as a Senior Risk & Control Analyst you should have:
* Strong practical knowledge of Technology risk and control (i.e., BCF), including applications (i.e., ORAC, SORT) and/or technology processes (i.e., Tech Standards).
* Ability to identify potential breaches of standards or regulations and to mitigate/escalate accordingly.
* Ability to identify key stakeholders and work collaboratively with them to deliver regulated risk, control, and change requirements.
Some other highly valued skills include:
* Knowledge of Barclaycard Payments Technology.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to the business area in which the job operates and an ability to apply these to day-to-day activities.
* Experience in risk-based Technology auditing or risk/control activities within a Technology environment.

Purpose of the Role
The role involves partnering with the bank to provide independent assurance on control processes and advising on improvements to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the bank’s internal controls framework.
Accountabilities
* Collaborate across the bank to maintain a satisfactory, robust, and efficient control environment through the execution of ad-hoc assessments and testing on the design and operational effectiveness of the internal controls, aligned to control policies and standards.
* Develop detailed test plans and procedures to identify weaknesses in internal controls and other initiatives aligned to the bank’s control framework to mitigate any potential risks and issues, prioritised by their severity to disrupt bank operations, potential losses, and reputational impact.
* Communicate key findings and observations to the relevant stakeholders and business units to improve overall control efficiency and provide corrective actions to senior managers. Collaborate with other control professionals to resolve complex issues and ensure consistent testing methodologies across the bank.
* Develop a knowledge centre containing detailed documentation of control assessments, testing on the design and operational effectiveness of procedures, findings, and the distribution of material on internal controls to train and upskill colleagues within the bank.
