We have a new opportunity to be part of our Programme team in the role of Project Planner.
As a Project Planner, you will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and communicating realistic and strategic timing plans across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working cross-functionally with Design, Manufacturing, and Operations teams, you will help to ensure that each project progresses according to plan—contributing directly to our objective of consistently being a top team in the FIA Formula One Constructors’ Championship.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing and maintaining comprehensive project timing plans, sequencing tasks and activities required to achieve successful project delivery.
2. Updating plans regularly to reflect current progress, baseline project milestones, and assess any deviations in timing.
3. Identifying and communicating project risks and opportunities, ensuring key stakeholders are informed in a timely and effective manner.
4. Producing and maintaining project health and status reports, using appropriate tools such as Power BI or other reporting platforms.
5. Collaborating with stakeholders across departments, attending planning meetings, and proactively driving progress.
6. Designing and refining planning tools and reporting solutions that enhance project visibility and coordination.
7. Managing the overall project portfolio and ensuring full integration with business systems.
8. Supporting and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the planning function.
Qualifications for success:
1. Excellent working knowledge of mainstream PPM software (e.g., Microsoft PWA, Primavera P6, or similar).
2. Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies—formal qualifications such as Prince 2, APM PMQ, or equivalent experience preferred.
3. Strong experience with Power BI or similar tools for reporting and dashboarding.
4. Experience in planning or coordination roles within automotive, aerospace, motorsport, or high-precision engineering/manufacturing.
5. A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments.
6. Clear and respectful communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
7. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
8. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing shifting priorities.
9. Commitment to upholding Health & Safety standards and operating professionally and compliantly.
Additional information:
This is a full-time, office-based role at our campus in Silverstone, with additional travel to other locations as necessary.
