Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee financial control and analysis functions.
* Balance stakeholder expectations with organisational capabilities.
* Identify and advise on innovative financing sources.
* Lead and motivate a dedicated team through changes.
* Influence senior stakeholders and drive impactful business decisions.

Essential Skills:

* Post qualification experience with ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent.
* Knowledge of risk management and governance under Managing Public Money rules.
* Strong commercial experience with investment regulations.
* Proven ability to navigate multiple financial disciplines.
* Experience in OPEX preferred over banking.

Desirable Background:

* Experience in the rail or construction industry at a senior level.
* Previous roles in the public sector.
