An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the weight management service to provide education and support to adults, children and young people living with complex obesity and to help them make sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes in order to improve their overall health and well-being.
The post holder will carry a dedicated caseload to support with weight loss goals and will also play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals in the delivery of weight management services., As an integral part of the Weight Management Service (WMS), the post holder will support both the Children and Young People Weight Management Service (CYPWMS) and the Adult Weight Management Service (AWMS) multidisciplinary team to plan, deliver and evaluate interventions to support adults, children and young people with complex obesity and their families/carers.
The post holder will carry a delegated caseload to support the patient/families with weight loss. They will be expected to liaise with a number of stakeholders and co-ordinate care.
The post holder will support the work of registered dietitians as well as other clinicians in the multidisciplinary team and would be required to work within the British Dietetic Association (BDA) Professional Code of Conduct for dietetic assistants.
The post holder will be working as part of the ABUHB Weight Management Service based at St Cadocs Hospital but would travel to different sites to deliver interventions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
