1:1 Secondary Tutor
Location: S80
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Secondary Tutor to join our team and provide tailored, one-to-one tuition to secondary school students across a variety of subjects. If you have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to help students reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalised tutoring sessions to secondary school students (ages 11-16).
* Provide support across a range of subjects (e.g., Maths, English, Science, History, etc.), adapting to the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
* Help students build confidence and develop effective study skills.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Develop bespoke lesson plans and resources tailored to the curriculum and specific learning requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
* A degree in a relevant subject.
* Prior experience of tutoring or teaching secondary school students.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and GCSE exam requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to motivating students.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
* Experience working with students with additional learning needs or specific learning difficulties.
