Software Engineer Job Description
About the Role
* You’ll contribute to all levels of our software design and development, interfacing directly with senior managers (CTO and Development Managers) and at times with our clients to understand the problem and build elegant solutions.
* You’ll work on feature development, testing, bug fixing, maintenance, and support, with opportunities to work on all aspects of our technology pipeline, from black-box algorithms to real-time visual analytics.
Key Responsibilities
* Help expand the Adroit platform to stay ahead of competition.
* Develop a thorough understanding of business and user requirements.
* Design elegant and efficient solutions with guidance from Chief Architect.
* Work with team members to develop scalable, testable, and competent code.
* Test and deploy code for use in production.
Hard Requirements
* Technical:
o 2+ years of experience in a development-related role.
o Proficient in C#.NET & SQL (2+ years of experience).
o Experience with backend technologies (database, messaging, interprocess communications).
* Non-Technical:
o Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
o Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities.
o Excellent task management skills with the ability to follow up on outstanding items.
o A self-starter mentality with the ability to perform due diligence before involving the broader team.
o The ability to ascertain when to ask for help.
* Miscellaneous:
o Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a technical field.
