Job Description
Purpose
To maintain utilities, facilities, and equipment across all departments and locations, including electrical and mechanical systems, emergency equipment, heavy plant machinery, and domestic services.
Responsibilities
* Consistently exhibit the UTAC staff behaviors.
* Maintain and repair commercial and light industrial plant equipment.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on buildings and services, including electrical distribution and emergency systems.
* Conduct reactive maintenance and repairs on buildings and services, diagnosing faults in electrical, control, and mechanical systems.
* Carry out fixed wiring inspections.
* Perform electrical and mechanical installations and renovations in compliance with current IET wiring regulations.
* Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.
Qualifications
Required:
* GCSE grade 4 or above in Mathematics.
* GCSE grade 4 or above in Science.
Desirable:
* GCSE grade 4 or above in English.

* Commitment to attending college and completing all courses and qualifications as part of the apprenticeship.
* Proficiency with general hand tools.
