Summary
Freedom is currently recruiting for a civils ganger to be part of a team undertaking asset replacement works supporting the upgrade and replacement of substation equipment in a manner that delivers safe, high-quality workmanship and fit for purpose networks for our DNO customers, and which promotes the company in a positive light at all times.
The role is based across the northwest of England
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
* Support with excavation and reinstatement work on small secondary substations to support the replacement of plant/equipment
* Erection of SL&G to ensure that the public are kept safe at all times
* Installation of LV and 11kv cabling
* Installation of form work for plinth constructions for electrical equipment
* Cat scanning/pre-vetting and planning works
* Tar work reinstatement within footpath and highways
* Ensuring good quality workmanship to prevent defects
* Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas.
What we’re looking for:
* Background of working with utilities
* Minimum of 5 years practical background
* Site safety passport and/or experience of working on CDM sites
* First Aid
* Cat and genny
* Excavator tickets - Desirable
* Full Driving Licence
