MCS Group are delighted to be working with an international contractor who are seeking to add a talented individual to their Capital Projects Team. You will play a key role within the organisations civil engineering infrastructure scheme over the next 5 years.
This role will be fully based in NI with no travel. Working hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.
The Role
* Supporting the Project Manager with daily operations as required.
* Monitoring and interpreting the construction design drawings supplied by the design engineers.
* Positively influence key stakeholders (both internal & external) associated with the project.
* Acting as the first point of contact on site for specialist subcontractors.
* Support the project team in the design, procurement, construction, delivery and handover of the project to achieve the desired outcomes.
* Ensure that all Statutory and Company regulations regarding health and safety, fire and security are followed to protect airport users, staff members and the business interests of the Company.
* Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications.
* Day-to-day point of contact for contractor(s) to inform communication between airport departments, business partners, consultants and contractors. This will involve frequent briefings and accurate record keeping.
* Play an active part in the lessons identified process across all projects and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
* Participating in quality control as per project requirements.
* Pro - active approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and associated reporting to project supervisor.
* Ability to work flexible hours to facilitate any out of hours activity as and when required.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum of Level 4 qualification in relevant engineering /construction discipline
* Full current driving licence & own transport
* CSCS, CSR, SafePass or equivalent construction industry card
* Working knowledge of The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM 2015)
