What the Job Involves Your primary responsibilities include managing a varied and complex caseload, conducting needs assessments, and developing care and support plans. You will actively engage in safeguarding enquiries, contribute to service planning, and supervise up to four non-registered social care practitioners. Additionally, you will oversee and mentor social work students and newly qualified social workers, ensuring their professional development. Your role involves working collaboratively to construct value-for-money care packages, promoting social inclusion, and offering support and advice to address non-eligible needs. Skills Professional qualification as a Social Worker with HCPC registration Minimum of 2 years post-qualification practice experience Ability to support professional development of colleagues Strong knowledge of social work theory and application Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Highly developed analytical assessment skills Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team Strong organizational and administrative abilities Proficiency in conducting mental capacity assessments Experience in adult safeguarding and strength-based approaches Fluency in spoken English for effective communication with customers
