About the Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join a busy Payroll team on a permanent basis. Based is Stone, Staffordshire, you will play a key role in supporting payroll operations across multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in processingthe monthly payrolls.
Supportmonthly payroll processing and reporting.
Respond to payroll queries from managers and employees via email and phone.
Input payroll data accurately (Resourcelink and MyView).
Deal with Payroll alterations, such as reversions, promotions, starters and terminations etc.
Processing P45s, deductions and other fire service allowances.
Check and process staff expenses and mileage.
Processing overtime payments, acting up, turnouts and payroll variations under extremely complex terms & conditions, coding requirements and multiple pension schemes.
Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
About You
Previous payroll experience is essential.
Strong numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail .
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook .
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
A team player with a professional and positive attitude .
