A Primary School in Burnley is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant who is Level 3 qualified. The Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification enables you to support children, as well as covering whole class lessons.
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Your roles and responsibilities:
1. To build positive relationships with the children and staff.
2. To support children’s SEMH development (social, emotional and mental health).
3. To help the teacher identify gaps in children’s learning.
4. To plan and deliver interventions to children with additional needs.
5. To deliver whole class sessions when covering PPA or Teacher absences.
6. To help create a fun, safe and stimulating learning environment.
You will need:
1. To have a good understanding of the EYFS Framework and KS1 National Curriculum.
2. A DBS on the update service.
3. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School.
4. Previous experience of covering whole class sessions.
5. Excellent knowledge of safeguarding.
6. A minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
