As an experienced Public Health Engineer, you will be responsible for designing below ground foul and surface water drainage systems to ensure safe water or sewerage flows for multiple projects.The job role of the Public Health Engineer involves the following main duties: Planning below ground foul and surface water drainage systems using computer modelling softwareUndertaking technical below ground drainage design works, i.e. below ground drainage layout drawings, below ground drainage detail drawings, below ground drainage specification documentation, etc.Attending project meetingsVisiting sites to gain an understanding of the projectLiaising with other teams and departments Liaising with other external design team members on various projectsWorking with clients to ensure that their requirements are fulfilled, and expectations metUsing advanced computer modelling tools, i.e. Info Drainage, in the design of below ground foul and surface water drainage systemsAssessing the environmental impact of proposed worksKeeping up to date with changing legislation and codes of practice to ensure complianceAnswering technical queries, both internally and externally with other parties, etc.Visiting the site during construction (where required) to make sure the works are completed to specificationUndertaking drainage strategy reports in order to satisfy planning condition requirements on projectsLiaising and agreeing on pre-development enquires and Section 106 agreements on various projectsLiaising and agreeing with Section 106 agreements on various projectsAble to work on multiple projects in order to satisfy the internal programme requirementsExperience of designing single building and multi-building site below ground drainage systems
