As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to ensure they can access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially. The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant requires patience, compassion, and a deep understanding of individual needs. You will work one-to-one with students or in small groups, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN. Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to suit individual needs. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs. Help manage challenging behaviours using positive strategies. Requirements: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) or in a similar role is desirable. A good understanding of Special Educational Needs and strategies to support students. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children.
