Main duties of the job
Buckinghamshire adult eating disorder service (BAEDS) is based at Sue Nicholls Centre in Aylesbury and covers the county of Buckinghamshire. The service is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team, and we have recently changed the medical configuration of the team to include full time nurse consultant, part-time consultant psychiatrist and GP with extended role, which has created this new vacancy. We are looking for a skilled and dynamic consultant psychiatrist to work in and provide clinical leadership to BAEDS.
The specialist adult eating disorder service in Buckinghamshire provides a stepped care, integrated multidisciplinary evidence-based treatment approach. The Service has also recently launched the FREED initiative and we are working toward introduction of the PEACE pathway, which is already well embedded in our CAMHS ED Service.
We are looking for candidates who have specialist experience of working with individuals with eating disorders and who can demonstrate their ability to adapt to the changing circumstances of modern healthcare provision. We welcome applications from highly motivated colleagues to work collaboratively with our team managers and nurse consultant, and to provide leadership and clinical expertise to our highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team.
