Job Title Production Team Leader Reports to Manufacturing Manager Purpose of Job Lead teams of people to maximise and continually drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity Specification The role is responsible for the day to day engagement, development and management of the people, and ensuring processes & equipment are maintained and utilised effectively within defined areas to ensure that good quality products are available for shipment in line with customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensure production targets are met on a daily basis (all aspects of S,Q,D,I,P) Work alongside all elements of the Operations Team to ensure order output is maximised. Lead and engage a team of staff, managing them as a resource to gain maximum outputs through being actively involved in activities such as: Training – contributing to ICD Review, skills development and facilitating multi-skilling/multi-tasking First point of contact for day to day management (such as holiday and absence) Instrumental to ensuring that team adhere to policy and procedure Planning and delegating workload inclusive of updating SQDIP briefs daily Daily communications, providing clear direction and expectations Investigate and resolve immediate day-to-day quality problems and Health & Safety concerns. To help aide with such people related tasks the role holder will be expected to complete a level 3 or 4 apprenticeship (depending on eligibility) Drive improvements and maintain standards in labour efficiency, scrap, quality and delivery performance. Ensure H&S rules are being followed and lead small scale 5S activities. Ensure all documentation is correct and processed in a timely manner Develop & update Standard Operating Procedures Update KPI’s to monitor and improve team performance Lead H&S workshops along with Compliance Team Support Tasks • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required, Production Meeting & planning Reviews • Provide production operating support when required. • Be part of Project teams for NPI and take ownership of production requirements • Any other reasonable duties to support business needs. Hours of Work 38 hours/weeks, Monday to Friday, although hours may vary depending on business needs.
