Kickstart your career in civil engineering with Cheshire East Highways!
We’re offering three exciting Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeships where you’ll work across Design, Construction, Flood Risk, and Structures teams. Over five years, you’ll gain hands-on experience, earn a Level 6 Civil Engineering qualification, and attend classes at a local university.
As an apprentice, you’ll support engineers in designing and delivering highway, civil engineering, and traffic management projects, with budgets up to £5 million. Successful completion leads to a permanent role and career growth with Ringway Jacobs.
The Role
1. Assist with the preparation, design, planning, programming, and ordering of capital works and services.
2. Assist with the development of designs through the use of CAD based software.
3. Production of scheme work packages including Preconstruction information.
4. Maintain accurate records on the allocated projects.
5. Assist with correspondence relating to work areas and provide timely and accurate responses.
Minimum Requirements
1. A minimum of 112 UCAS Points.
2. 3 A Levels including Maths or BTech Level 3 in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
3. Regular travel to a local university.
4. Strong organisational skills.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates who haven’t received their final results by the date of the assessment centre are still encouraged to apply as this can be discussed with hiring managers.
