Senior Development Engineer Role Overview
This challenging and dynamic role focuses on the verification and validation needs of powertrain products primarily for defence land systems.
The successful candidate will play a leading technical role in areas such as component resourcing validation, post design services reporting, inline 6 product development, and more.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support planning by profiling resources and costing verification and validation engineering programs.
* Create detailed test plans to validate complex components or assemblies.
* Rig and dyno tests on components or assemblies, producing technical reports covering findings.
* Analyse complex data from test results using hand calculations and/or relevant simulation software as needed.
* Presentation to stakeholders, including colleagues across all levels in engineering and associated departments.
* Provide guidance and direction to junior engineers within the team.
* Communicate complex technical information to customers, team members, suppliers, and other business units.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working on MOD projects.
* Knowledge of turbo systems.
* Understanding of NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) principles.
* A PhD in the NVH/analysis space is desirable but not essential.
Working Arrangements:
This role offers a flexible work arrangement with three days per week working from home and two days per week on-site in Shrewsbury. The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
