We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Applications Support Specialist to join our IT team based at our Leavesden, Hertfordshire office. This role can be done on a hybrid basis, but with the expectation you are in Leavesden at least 2 days per week. The role’s purpose will be to contribute to delivering, supporting, configuring, testing, and maintaining Business Systems that align with IT strategies and business needs.
What you'll do:
* Delivery of IT projects in accordance with specifications, costs and timescales.
* Proactively handle incidents, problems, and change requests in the IT support tool.
* Assist with reviews of system capabilities and suggest application and technological enhancements.
* Share technical and business process knowledge across IT and business.
* Support, document and facilitate the transferal of system support knowledge to the Service Delivery Workstream.
* Understand and develop business processes, collaborate with users to define requirements, and deliver reliable systems that align with Skanska UK's Applications architecture.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
* Experience in supporting, testing and deploying business systems.
* Experience in managing a team of IT professionals.
* Experience in Business Systems such as: Azure Platform, IIS, Windows Server Platform (VM), PAAS (MS SQL Server, IAAS).
* Experience in Applications such as: Concept, ARC-GIS, Key2, Cirus Telephony System, Oracle P6, Condeco, OSHENS, CostOS.
