We’re currently recruiting for a Structures Design Engineer based in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will assist the Structures Discipline Manager routewide (across all sectors) in the delivery of the design of structures. You will lead the design development within the IDMT and liaising with the D7E Section Lead to ensure the delivery on time, optimised and in accordance with the Client's requirements. Key aspects of this role is in study of assisting in the optimisation/assumptions and liaison with the commercial, planning, design delivery teams and designers. You will assist in the coordination with Construction for management of topics such as GI, topographical surveys, and all other issues related with the design development for the structure's disciplines. You will also provide support in design for constructability and TW integration (coordination with Construction and leading designer action) and assisting in the direct link to BOQ monitoring, model review, quality monitoring and control. In addition you will coordinate of all design and assurance deliverables with interfacing organisations and maintain close liaison and collaboration with HS2 technical team as required. About You Civil or Structural Engineering degree. Experience in major civil engineering works, in the structural design field. Experience working on large infrastructure projects. Knowledge of typical temporary works involved in the construction of major and standard bridges. Knowledge of relevant structures standards and its applicability for the design. A good communicator and able to build positive working relationships, internally and with the supply chain.
