We pride ourselves on delivering innovative, results-oriented solutions and are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, IT Transformation Advisory who has a passion to guide our clients through their IT transformation journeys.
About the Role – Senior Manager, IT Transformation Advisory will be responsible for evaluating clients' IT operating models, identifying opportunities to optimize activities, and advising on transitioning work to external providers. They will act as a trusted advisor, working closely with client stakeholders, including IT, Procurement, and HR teams, to map out changes across Infrastructure and Operations, Application Support and Service desk. They will be instrumental in transitioning activities to external service providers including being adept in translating requirements into RFPs and running the supplier selection process. The preferred candidate will have 10+ years of management consulting experience in the IT Transformation space. The role is hybrid (3 days/week in our offices in Central London) and will require some travel across Europe. London based full-time hires only.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory and IT Assessment
* Lead assessments of client IT operations to identify opportunities for optimization and outsourcing.
* Develop tailored IT transformation strategies that align with clients’ business objectives and industry best practices.
* Provide expert guidance on evaluating activities for externalization and selecting appropriate delivery models (e.g., managed services, outsourcing, hybrid approaches).
Transition Strategy and Execution
* Develop transition roadmaps, outlining key milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder engagement plans.
* Guide clients in designing RFPs, selecting vendors, and negotiating contracts and SLAs.
* Oversee and advise on operational handovers to ensure business continuity and knowledge transfer.
Stakeholder Management and Change Leadership
* Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client IT leadership team and fully understand program objectives.
* Collaborate with client HR teams to plan workforce impacts, role redefinition, and change management initiatives.
* Work closely with client Procurement teams to design sourcing strategies, evaluate bids, and secure cost-effective vendor agreements.
* Serve as a liaison between client executives and delivery teams to align expectations and outcomes.
Governance and Value Delivery
* Establish governance frameworks for ongoing vendor management and performance monitoring post-transition.
* Provide recommendations on cost optimization, service quality improvement, and risk management.
* Support clients in measuring and communicating the value delivered through the transformation journey.
Thought Leadership and Business Development
* Act as a subject matter expert in IT transformation and sourcing strategies by contributing to white papers, webinars, and industry events.
* Partner with business development teams to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and secure client engagements.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Skills, qualifications, experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
* 10+ years of experience in IT consulting, transformation, and sourcing advisory.
* Proven expertise in leading IT operating model redesigns and transitioning services to external providers.
* Strong experience advising clients on RFP development, vendor selection, and negotiation strategies.
* Deep familiarity with managing multi-stakeholder environments, including HR, Procurement, and IT leadership.
