Job Description:
Scantec are working in partnership with a leading Food Manufacturer at their site in Sheffield to assist them in finding a Lubrication Technician to join their Engineering team. This is a fantastic business with a long and established heritage within manufacturing in the area. Working on a wide range of equipment, such as provers, ovens, and silos, your role will be to complete the lubrication scheduling duties and take ownership of the lubrication program to ensure continued reliability of all production equipment.
We’re seeking a candidate with similar Mechanical maintenance experience in lubrication from within any manufacturing background, and with good Fabrication and welding experience. This is a varied role, with lots to get involved with. So you’ll also work with various mechanical equipment including gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work and have the opportunity to get involved in various projects along the way.
Hours of work:
* Days only, 4 on, 4 off, 6 am - 6 pm
Lubrication Technician – Summary of key responsibilities:
* To work as an active part of a skilled cross-functional planned maintenance team.
* To ensure correct Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
* To carry out various identified general building maintenance repairs and improvements.
* To carry out various identified inspection processes including but not exhaustive: Composite panel inspections, Flour Sifter inspections, Flour line magnet inspections, Auto lubricator inspections.
* Help manage the lubrication stores.
* Condition-based maintenance / good practice management.
* To actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
