Responsibilities
* Support social listening efforts: Assist with the setup and configuration of social listening tools and reports. Monitor and analyze audience feedback and trends across various social media platforms. Provide support and troubleshooting for any issues that arise, ensuring timely and accurate reporting according to the defined schedule. This includes identifying key insights and trends that can inform strategic decisions.
* Detailed reporting on campaign and event performance: Utilize social listening data to gather comprehensive reports on the performance of social media campaigns and events. Analyze metrics such as engagement, reach, sentiment, and share of voice to provide actionable insights. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
* Contribute to key projects related to tagging and tracking: Work on projects that involve the tagging and tracking of social media content to ensure data accuracy. This includes setting up and maintaining tracking parameters, ensuring that all social media activities are properly tagged for analytics purposes. Provide actionable insights based on the data collected, helping to optimize future campaigns and strategies.
* Ensure meticulous quality control: Oversee the implementation of best practices for social media, support the monitoring of channels, manage responses, and maintain consistency and high standards in the publishing of posts.
Qualifications
As this is a 12-month placement position, you need to be enrolled at a university, preferably in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Science Communication, or Business Studies, and will be returning to that same course upon completion of the internship.
Skills and Attributes
* Passion for marketing with a deep interest and knowledge of social media and data analytics.
* Well-versed in social media data and analytics to support detailed reporting and insights gathering.
* Strong project management and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Experience or demonstrated interest in social media marketing and data analysis.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a team.
* Demonstrates autonomy and teamwork, with excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Educational Background
* Marketing, Digital Marketing, Science Communication, Business Studies, or a related field with a focus on data analytics.
Work Environment
This role is office-based at our state-of-the-art facility in Harwell (UK) or Mulgrave (Australia). Upon successful completion of the onboarding period, the candidate will have the option to work in a hybrid model, working from home remotely one or two days per week.
