I am a 29 year old man living in Cwmllynfell with my family. I have Down’s Syndrome and global development delay. This doesn’t stop me from being very easy going with a good sense of humour. Although I am quite quiet and don’t talk that much, I really enjoy spending time with people. There are a number of different activities like bowling, swimming, circus skills and gymnastics or other sporting events, going to the cinema, eating out, drama and archery that I enjoy doing. These activities enable me to mix with different people in mainstream and/or special needs social groups and help me to develop my independence.

Making sure I am safe at all times – including road safety
Making sure that I have enough to drink during the day
Remind me to wash my hands through the day
Assist with the handling of money around all activities

15 hours in total to be worked as:
10 hours on a Thursday from 9am too 7pm (the activities can be flexible) and also 5 hours to be worked on a Wednesday 2pm until 7pm (The activities can be flexible)

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
