Group Living is a service that is continually expanding to meet the needs of the young people that Roundabout is helping in South Yorkshire. The service offers multiple 24/7 staffed projects providing a safe place to live for Looked After young people who are typically aged 16-18. The young people in this service may have left care homes, foster care, suffered family breakdowns or may be from other countries, and require a strong support network to enable them to gain independence. As a project manager, you will manage one of the Group Living properties in Sheffield. You will oversee all aspects of service delivery in the 24 hour provision and will have excellent interpersonal skills: building and maintaining excellent working relationships with contract managers and social care staff to ensure a quality provision is available to all young people and placement agreements are adhered to. Ensuring high quality support and accommodation is provided for young people, you will be overseeing all aspects of a young person’s referral, assessment and support. At your project, you will manage a dynamic team of up to 5 staff to support up to 6 young people through key work, life skills sessions and a comprehensive activity programme. We aim to prepare these young people for independent living, by offering a warm and homely environment that enables young people to flourish and develop the skills and confidence they will need to move on.
